Mall Trip

Today we went to the mall. We had lunch at a pizza place and took the kids to an indoor play thing. It was $2.50 per kid for an hour. The decorations (like the drums) you can see in the one picture are for the holiday this weekend. The people in the cage with Hudson are not people, really. At least not yet according to some people--for now they are only monkeys in the pet store. These monkeys were selling for $45 and "they don't bite" how about that for famous last words. It seems to me if you believe in evolution you must think owning monkeys is akin to slavery. I don't believe in evolution, though, I just think monkeys are dirty. Cute but dirty. (DISCLAIMER: only Craig thinks all this about monkeys...everyone else just wants to buy one).

$45 bucks for a monkey? $2.50 to play on a playground?! (did we miss where you guys landed?:) haha! seriously... you can totally go find a baby monkey in a tree for free, tie him up for awhile and hand feed him... then, when you have your free monkey you won't have to pay $2.50 for your kids to play! HA!
Glad the retainers were found too... my mom spent half a day at theme park one time going through trashbags looking for one of mine (yeah, I was that kid)
Glad to see you're finding your way!

Don't tell our family back in the US but the $2.50 included the fact we could leave the kids there and go shopping (just like when I was a kid at the Westland Mall in the 70s). All we had to do was keep our receipt to match with their wristbands when we came back. It was aided that they were not just the only white kids but practically the only kids period. $7.50 is high for an hour of babysitting, though.

I think you should leave the monkey in the cage for someone else to enjoy! You all look great. Love the scenery.

Don't get a monkey...Tell the gang
I had a bad experience with a monkey from childhood...almost like Caleb and Paco. It grab my hair when I was 5 or 6...It was in the cage it thought I needed to be in the cage too....Needless to say alot of screaming took place!

I don't blame you for not buying a monkey. After all, you already have three wild ones running around the house as is! I'm a monkey's uncle. HA!

Caleb and Hudson,

Remember what Uncle Todd said. You are NOT to disobey or beg your parents about ANYTHING . . . EXCEPT buying you a monkey!
