The count so far

Well, we were in plenty of time to catch our flight in Louisville and even with good weather it still left an hour late. So, we missed our flight out of Atlanta. They were able to get us on a packed last flight of the night out of Atlanta and that was good.

In Los Angeles we had to leave the secure area and walk down two terminals, then check in at the desk for boarding passes. Luckily, we got to go to the "No bags to check line". Unluckily it was slower than the "Bags to check" line. But it did save us having to take our bags to the unbelievably LONG TSA bag scan line. We made it to the gate on time and the 13.5 hour flight went much better than I expected.

The only two mishaps so far: I let Caleb go up the down escalator somewhere and he almost killed himself. Bad advice on my part. And then early in our long flight Bethany spilled her Sprite on the nice sleeping lady next to us. Surprisingly the lady woke right up. Even more surprisingly, she was quite nice as she pulled out the contents of her purse and dried them off. Her iPhone was OK. WHEW!!

Now we're ready to baord flight number 4. Then after getting out of the airport, we'll have have a 2-3 hour drive. We should really be ready to sleep tonight!!

Here is Hudson patiently waiting with his Leapster.

Sounds like your "time travel" (as we like to call it...appropriate because you're literally going forward in time, right?) has been an adventure. Hope your first hours in your new (temporary) home are exciting and fun... everything you hoped it'd be when you signed up for this job;)! lol!
