Wrapping Up The Weekend

Been a fairly lazy weekend around here.  We wrote this really long blog post on Saturday night only to have no internet access because of some heavy rain and then it got lost.  It was hugely long and creative and when we got back to the draft we had about 3 sentences.  Kami merasa sangat sedih!!  But, oh well, kadang-kadang kehidupan begitulah, eh?!?  You know what I mean?

That last part is just a taste of how our neighbors like to speak.  Bahasa campur.  They say, "So hari ini you nak pergi mana?" And we answer, "Hari ini saya ada meeting sama satu kawan then maybe kami akan makan bersama-sama.  After that, I don't know.  You sudah makan?"

Oftentimes we drive away and look at each other asking, "What language was I speaking in that conversation?"  The answer, "All of them."
