Its one of the most famous events in American history and yet our 12 year-old son can't write a four-page (or even a 3 page) double-spaced report on The Alamo.
This little episode did reveal that Dad can hardly tell the difference between Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett. Guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree...
3 or 4 pages? That seems like a lot. Sorry, Mom or Dad! It's good practice for organizing your thoughts, Caleb. Try the 3.8 format - topic & 3 main points, 2 paragraphs each, then a conclusion. Works every time!
You guys should be watching more "King of the Hill" then. Hank Hill could teach you all about the Alamo. Do not, however, watch PeeWee's Big Adventure to learn about the Alamo, as the Alamo, in fact, does not have a basement.
