Caleb's 13th!!

13 years ago while Bill Clinton was being reelected, we were being ushered (in all our unpreparedness) into parenthood. Now, with an even deeper degree of unpreparedness, we have a teenager!

Caleb's big present was a drum set but that is another post. Hudson and Bethany pooled some cash and got Caleb some new darts for his Nerf gun. Amazing how quickly those things disappear.
His friend Josiah came to hang out, play paintball (another post, too), and help us eat some tacos. Caleb got to eat off the "Special Davis of the Day" plate!
Not too many people can understand the depths of a mother's love that would push her to bake a birthday cake in a 90 degree kitchen. No way Angie was letting someone else do that! Special thanks to our GA ladies who brought Caleb's requested white cake mix ... pretty tasty.
Old people have HUGE flames!
An action shot. I was trying to get the bending flames but didn't. Not quite as good as I think!
There you have it! Two days in a row we celebrate a family birthday! Only about few more to go in the next 33 days. The promised other posts coming tomorrow and the day after.

Caleb looks like you had a geat Day! Grandpa Larry sent you something too....I will let MoM & Dad know. I am glad you got to have a friend over. Being 13 brings privileges and more responsibilities. We sent you some e-cards too I hope you can view them. One is silly! Love you bunches...Todd and Maria

We finally figured out how to have a birthday at the same time and it only took moving half way around the world. I know you had a wonderful birthday.

Looks like a fun time! Glad you had such a special celebration - cake, plate, and friend to share it! You're on your way to becoming a young man now. Stay sweet!

I can't believe Caleb is 13. His was the first diaper I ever changed! :)
