Some help for you

we have a 38 minute layover in Atlanta and about 16 bags we'll be checking. Yikes! In Hong Kong we have two hours but its easy to get behind because the flight TO Hong Kong is 14.5 hours...you get free midnight snakcs, though! How is that for helpful? At the airport in between Atlanta and Hong Kong we'll have nearly four hours from about 1am to 5am our time.

HK shouldn't be a problem... I wish I could say that I've never had to run across the ATL airport to make a connection only to miss it. I still think you'll make them all.

No not 16 carry-ons but not only do we need to make it from one flight to the next in 38 minutes, they have to offload all the bags from our first flight and transfer them to the next one. I am more worried about the bags making it than us making it. I'll be like OJ Simpson slashing and running and jumping through the airport. Well, you know, like the luggage commercial OJ not the cold-blooded killer OJ.

You'll make it! I didn't tell you, but my Mom got "wanded" (not Wanda'd) at both airports. We forgot about her hip replacement! I was afraid it would upset her, but she took it really well. It added to our adventure. And my sister and I got our purses searched coming home - we forgot and put lip balm and lotion in our purses sometime during our visit. I made sure to thank the officer for doing such a good job!

My mom has no idea how I did this. It makes me feel powerful.
